homepage defaults to http://search.jzip.com/ and can not be changed
Just upgraded Firefox and all of a sudden the homepage is set to http://search.jzip.com/. It will not change. I have done a regedit and found jzip and removed it there. Also removed it from the programs list. My daughter downloaded it as a free zip program. I prefer to have my homepage my business but can not change it. I have gone to remove addons and set it to use default search engines, default, tool bars, etc and still the damn thing is there. I uninstalled Firefox, rebooted and downloaded and installed again and the damn thing is still there. Where in the heck is it hiding?
Thanks Tony

I succesfully remove this owful homepage using this procedure (posted in https://support.mozilla.com/ru/questions/805889#answer-161093)
You have to do the following:
- go to C:/Program Files (86) /Windows jZip Toolbar
- in the folder there is a uninstall file for the toolbar execute it
- delete the folder if still exists
- open Firefox and type in the address bar "about:config"
- say you will be careful
- type “jzip” in the filter bar
- "reinitialize" (right click on and then reset) all the values with "jzip" that are shown
- close Firefox and restart => no more jzip startup page

otherwise just uninstall the jzip program entirely from your start control panel - there's often a catch with free software. I tried it, checked no home page, toolbar, etc on the installer program, and it still commandeered my default browser. I figure who knows what else it's doing. Not a good program to download.
