Firefox v47 downloaded on Friday night (23.33hrs 10 June 16), after the computer was left to run for updates overnight. Since Saturday (11 June 16) morning, Firefox has started hanging repeatedly, even within seconds of restarting after a forced shutdown - sites that Firefox has become unresponsive while browsing have included Facebook, dailymail.co.uk, BBC, and even the Adobe website when checking if the update check had made any difference and the Google Earth plug-in check page. I think I've narrowed the problem to the Flash driver after starting Firefox in safe mode and working my way through. I've checked my Flash driver and it's up to date, but the second I activate it, Firefox yet again becomes non-responsive.

Help!

I've tried removing Firefox completely & re-installing, but still no success - Firefox still freezes and becomes unresponsive within minutes, if not seconds, of opening most websites unless I run it in Safe Mode.

New Update For Flash Player Note: Windows users should download the active_x for Internet Explorer. and the plugin for Plugin-based browsers (like Firefox).

Note: Windows 8 and Windows 10 have built-in flash players and Adobe will cause a conflict. Install the plugin only. Not the active_x.

Flash Player Version: 22.0.0.192 Flash Player (Linux) Version 11.2.202.626

All Windows 7 updates checked & up to date (was 2 optional updates outstanding), Flash Plugin was already up to date, and Graphics Drivers all up to date (don't know if they weren't before, but they are now). Firefox still becomes non-responsive and freezes after a few minutes of use without plugins disabled - still frozen after 5-10 minutes.
