Make "This time, search with:" option submit the search without pressing Shift
Firefox 83 changed how the search engine options work: Selecting a search engine at the bottom of the search panel now enters search mode for that engine, allowing you to see suggestions (if available) for your search terms. The old behavior (immediately performing a search) is available with a shift-click.
I personally use the old behavior (submit immediately after clicking the option) much more often than I need to see the search suggestion. Is there an option to make the old behavior the default without pressing shift?
Thanks!

There is a temporary preference for this, but it will go away in a future update:
(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button accepting the risk.
(2) In the search box in the page, type or paste oneOffs and pause while the list is filtered
(3) Double-click the browser.urlbar.update2.oneOffsRefresh preference to switch the value from true to false
Hopefully they will decide to add a permanent option after the "update2" work is completed, but I haven't been following this project so I don't know what is planned.
