After browsing Firefox adons, an application called Similar Deals has become installed on my pc. No matter what I do, I can not uninstall the program.
Have attempted multiple times to uninstall Similar Deals and it just won't go away. Have gone to the control panel and looked through Uninstall Program software and it just isn't there. The app remains.

You may have ad / mal-ware. Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.
Run most or all of the listed malware scanners. Each works differently. If one program misses something, another may pick it up. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ https://www.bing.com/search?q=Similar+Deals+virus&qs=n&form=QBRE&pq=similar+deals+virus&sc=0-16&sp=-1&sk=&cvid=3A1DA7B1309D4B7A985193D1711A8320
Thank you for sharing your add-on information. These two extensions have been reported to be part of an infection, perhaps related to Trovi:
- InternetHelper3.1 10.38.0.509 ({07cbf788-1359-421b-a4e3-5a8d041b90a3})
- KeyBar 1.8 10.23.0.822 ({9ed31f84-c8b3-4926-b950-dff74047ff79})
You'll want to make sure those are removed during your cleanup.
At the risk of a little repetition, here's my suggested procedure for tracking down and cleaning up bad add-ons, hijackers, and ad injectors. I know it seems long, but it's not that bad.
(1) Open the Windows Control Panel, Uninstall a Program. After the list loads, click the "Installed on" column heading to group the infections, I mean, additions, by date. This can help in smoking out undisclosed bundle items that snuck in with some software you agreed to install. Take out as much trash as possible here.
(2) Open Firefox's Add-ons page using either:
- Ctrl+Shift+a
- "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
- in the Windows "Run" dialog, type or paste
firefox.exe "about:addons"
In the left column, click Plugins. Set nonessential and unrecognized plugins to "Never Activate".
In the left column, click Extensions. Then, if in doubt, disable (or Remove, if possible) unrecognized and unwanted extensions. Bear in mind that none of these came with Firefox, they are all optional.
Often a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.
Any improvement?
(3) You can search for remaining issues with the scanning/cleaning tools listed in our support article: Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware. These on-demand scanners are free and take considerable time to run. If they finish quickly and especially if they require payment, you may have a serious infection. I suggest the specialized forums listed in the article in that case.
Success?
