Tells me to update to the new version even if I have the new version, when trying to play games online. I.e Angry Birds.
Every time i go on newer games like Angry Birds or Farkle ( On Facebook ) It tells me that I'm running an old version of Firefox. (Works fine when I go on google chrome, but I don't like chrome.) Then when I go to update my Firefox, I see that it's the same version that I'm using right now. Getting quite annoyed with this. :/ Ps; I'm on mac. So the version I have now is 8.0.1

Are you sure you are on version 8.0.1? Our help site detected that you were on Firefox 3.5.2. To double-check, go to the menu bar at the top of the window, click on the Firefox menu and select "About Firefox".
If you need to update from Firefox 3.5.2 - the easiest way is to just download and install the latest from mozilla.org/firefox
Your user agent in more system details on right of you post however shows it as Firefox 3.5.2. This was a issue with Firefox 3.6.* and earlier as some extensions would put stuff on end of US and therefore make the version stay stuck at that version. This was due to the "Fast Browser Search toolbar" extension (FBSMTWB).
See this on how to reset it to normal. https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/websites%20or%20add-ons%20incorrectly%20report%20incompatible%20browser#w_reset-your-user-agent

Hi,
I found this info in another thread posted by a top contributor, so maybe it will help you too.
Your User Agent shows that you have Firefox 3.5.2 installed. Some Add-ons can cause an incorrect User Agent to show. It could be that FBSMTWB as shown in your User Agent (click "More System Details" to the right of your original question, scroll to the bottom to see your User Agent):
Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.1.2) Gecko/20090729 Firefox/3.5.2 FBSMTWB
FBSMTWB may be this: http://www.fastbrowsersearch.com/
Uninstall it if you have it
See --> http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Uninstalling+add-ons
See --> http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Cannot%20uninstall%20an%20add-on
See --> http://kb.mozillazine.org/Uninstalling_toolbars
After that is uninstalled, follow the directions in this article to reset your User Agent:
What is a User Agent: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_Agent
Hope this helps,
Michelle
