firefox appears to lost all stored passwords, when trying to access a page that requires one (email,FB etc) the system hangs and have to force quit. on mac os
had an update on firefox last night, today all my saved passwords are gone although none of the settings have been altered. when trying to access a site that utilises a password the system hangs at the point of loading the saved password. also hangs when trying to send information to the net, like registering here, I had to use safari to complete the forms
have tried reinstalling firefox but all bookmarks/setting are not reset
any ideas????
thanks steve
just tried the reset on the troubleshooting info page, hung when importing information :(

If you use the Time Machine on your Mac then you can try to restore the signons.sqlite and key3.db files
You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:
- Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder (Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder)

Thank cor-el,
havent got time machine running but your solution gave me enough info to create a new profile and delete the others. could copy across the files from my old profile, presume they became corrupted some how. any way at least its not hanging and crashing anymore, just gotta remember all my passwords lol.
thanks again
