How do I get rid of jdjopenmace.net
This is a virus or malware that opens every time I change sites on Firefox. Restoring Firefox does not solve the problem nor does it appear in downloaded programs.

If you think this is caused by some malware I can suggest this. Download MalwareBytes ( Free version available ). Scan your pc. It may remove your malware.
I did download MalwareBytes software and it did not solve the problem. I did both the quick and full scan but it didn't catch openmace. thanks for your reply though.
Thank you for including your system details. Among your add-ons is an extension named:
- greAtsavoer 2.7
which looks suspicious. Try disabling that on the Add-ons page. Either:
- Ctrl+Shift+a
- orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then disable that one and anything else that you don't recognize.
Often a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.
Does that get rid of the extra page?
If there is no Remove button for that extension, check the Windows Control Panel, Uninstall a Program. I suggest clicking the "Installed on" column heading to bring the most recent items to the top. This may have been a part of a bundle, the tip of the iceberg, and there may be more to clean out.
And to mop up, try some supplemental scans using the tools in this support article: Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware.
Getting rid of greAtsavoer 2.7 did remove jdjopenmace but I still am having problems with being unable to shut down Firefox without restarting the computer. Thanks for your help.
Hi ronner3, is the problem that after you Exit Firefox, it never fully exits from memory, so you can't restart it?
As a temporary workaround, you can use the Task Manager to "kill" Firefox in that case so you don't need to restart Windows. Ctrl+Shift+Esc opens the task manager, then click the Applications tab to check for any visible windows. You select these and End Task. Or if there are not visible windows, click the Processes tab. You're looking for firefox.exe. You can select that and click End Process.
