Transfer Bookmark-folders from FF-Android to FF-Desktop
Hello there, maybe you can help.
I changed from Windows 10 to Linux, the Fedora distribution. I used Firefox before and want to keep on using it. I can still see my bookmarks saved in the "desktop-bookmarks"-folder on my android-phone even now. I log into FF on Desktop, try to synchronize, and about everything synchronizes besides those bookmarks. I enabled the option to synchronize bookmarks on my phone and on desktop. I pressed the "synchronize"-button on ff-desktop and ff-android mutliple times. I restarted ff-desktop without any of my add-ons, with no apparent change regarding the issue. I restarted my phone and sychronized again. I created a test-folder called "Test", transferred some folders in folders, but only the shell of the folders themselves transfers, and not any the concrete bookmarks.
Pictures for example: There should be 3 bookmark-links in "Food". There should be about 10 different bookmark-links in "Test", but apparently only the extra folder-shell "Food" is transferred. Bookmarks can be added from the desktop and they will appear in the android-version.
I appreciate all help. Thank you.

You can install the About Sync extension in Firefox 72 and newer on desktop to check what data is stored on the Sync server via the about:sync page provided by this extension. You may have to close and restart Firefox to access the about:sync page added by this extension (see the about:about page for available about pages).
Alright, definitely seems like a useful add-on, thank you.
I disabled all the add-ons besides the "about sync" and "startpage"-add-on for one log here. The bookmarks are still not received properly on my desktop.
Edit: log removed for going sure, I solved the problem in the end.
I removed multiple duplicates from the device-list of Firefox sync. I removed my andoid-phone from the list afterwards. The local data was still on the android phone then. I put FF-Android on the English-language setting (the same as my FF-desktop). I synchronized FF-Android with FF-Sync again. I think it might have had something to do with my 2nd email for Firefox, too. I was told it's the same account, but that I was using a different email to log into it.
I'm unsure if it had any meaning, but at times I looked into the about:config -webpage on desktop and searched for anything relating to bookmarks. I set "show mobile bookmarks" a few times to ultimately "true".

On your Android phone, which version of Firefox are you using?
Firefox for Android? Or one of the "new" versions for phones that is undergoing experimental beta testing? Firefox Preview I saw mention of issues concerning bookmarks & Sync with Firefox Preview over at Reddit yesterday.
Thank you for the quick reply. I am using "Firefox for Android" - ver. 68.6.0
I am sorry to interrupt, but how do I write a new question?

Oh, it's alright to ask that.
Look on this site:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/get-community-support
Press on the big green button that says "Get Help". Then decide which product of Mozilla to ask a question about. Then see if you can choose a category that best describes your problem.
Then you might get articles recommended, but if none of these can help you, try to formulate the question in the box below the articles. That will redirect you to more articles. If these don't help you either, press the blue button below the articles for that. Then your question can be asked to the community.
It's quite a handy system to avoid multiple questions and encourage previous research, before asking something. Hope that helps!
Thanks a lot

Did you try the About Sync to see what bookmarks date there is on the Sync server ?

Yes, there were only about 21 records in the bookmark-category. In the tables I saw, the folder-shells were unfilled / simply had the null-value.
Now, for comparison when it works, there are 442 records with the folders being filled properly.
If any other information is needed, I hope to be able to help.

If there is no bookmark data on the Sync server then this probably only leaves 'send tab to device' to get this data to the desktop device.

Well, it is already working now, so the problem is solved, but thank you nonetheless. I think sending tab to device sounds like a very long solution, to open each bookmark and send the tab.
