As said, Firefox doesn't start properly, always sends me right to the Crash-report window. I tried clean re-installs, rebooting my system, Windows updates, Java updates. Safe mode doesn't start either.

A chemspill 38.0.1 release to fix a fault in Firefox 38.0 is due to be released in the next few days. Apparently a file in Firefox needed for Nvdia drivers was misspelled and without that file Firefox is crashing upon launch with Windows 7.

If you can't get Firefox to launch in SafeMode, you'll need to download Firefox and re-install it after the patched 38.0.1 version is released.

Cheers for the quick reply, so what you're saying in a nutshell is: wait a few days for 38.0.1 and it should be fixed, right?

Firefox 38.0.1 was just released this afternoon, and will be made available over the next few hours. Since firefox crashes on startup, it won't be able to auto-update, so you will need to reinstall firefox from http://mozilla.org/firefox. Wait a few hours to do this though, to make sure that the download has been updated to 38.0.1.
