I have two Outlook addresses which appear identical in their settings. One address receives and sends mail perfectly. The other receives no mail in its Inbox, does receive mail in Junk and can send mail perfectly. I have repaired the Inbox folder, compared settings with the account which works but can see no difference. The machine is a Windows 11 laptop and the problem has been ongoing for the past year. TB is currently running version 128. Any idea where I have gone wrong?

When I newly installed the software there were 2 accounts that were in the left column and I deleted them. They were accounts that I tried to use in the past. After that I tried to add a new account from settings but couldn't. There is a message that the account already exists. But when I go to account settings, there is only Local folder. How can I add the new account?

Hello all, I was wondering if there is any reason why Thunderbird is reminding me like every other day of the "quick archiver" feature. In the general settings I have the "Thunderbird start page" disabled on launch but I still get the tab regularly informing me of the "new" feature. It annoys and I would like to turn it off. Any ideas? Many thanks! spamalot

We use Thunderbird as our e-mail client on multiple computers. We also have multiple e-mail providers. On one of our computers we can receive but not send in one of the verizon.net e-mails configured in Thunderbird. All of the critical outgoing settings, are the same except for the e-mail address, Description: Verizon Online, Sever Name smtp.verizon.net, Port 465 Connection Security Normal Password, user name different for each account. I have looked around on the Web and not found any solutions that worked. Thanks very much.

In 2016, whilst importing emails into Apple Mail, about 20,000 email were given the date and times of the import instead of the date from the Received Header. Luckily Thunderbird has retrieved the emails from my IMAP server and given them what appear to be the correct dates. Meh knowledge of the tech behind this is very limited. Anyway, my question is, how can I export a fresh mbox or other format of mail folder with Thunderbird applying the correct dates to each of the messages?

The dates in the preview (when I move the mouse over the calendar entry) are always correct. However, they differ from the entry when I click on Edit.

But it works for me when I delete cache.sqlite. However, I then delete the newer entry (which is displayed correctly in the preview).

Any ideas? Where does the preview data come from? Obviously from a different source than the data displayed in the edit view?

An import into the Thunderbird Android fails. The desktop app generates a total of 6 QR codes , the android app is unable to scan them. The QR Code generator on the phone works fine . The phone has Xiaomi HyperOS and android version is 14 UP1A.231006 007

After Thunderbird just updated to Version 128.5.0esr today, now all my accounts are saying that the connection is refused. This is coming from three different email services that I have accounts on. I'm assuming it's not an issue with those servers as I can access them just fine with a different email client, and I didn't change any settings. Yesterday it worked, today it doesn't. Only thing that seems to have changed is Thunderbird got updated.

Dear Mozilla, My 27" iMac crashed suddenly on Wednesday last week (when I wasn't actually using it) and would not boot up. A message referred me to Apple and I made an appointment in Glasgow to take my Mac for the repair. I plugged my Mac in before I left - and it recovered itself!

However all my Thunderbird emails, files and settings have totally disappeared! Apparently a Thunderbird update is responsible. I have spent hours on the phone trying to get help. I have spent hours with CHATDGP talking me through stuff. The data seems to be on my machine but whatever I do I can't get Thunderbird to work. I am at my wits end. I have all my work files in Thunderbird and have no access to anything.

This is the second time recently that my Thunderbird files have vanished. I had to pay an expert to come to my house and restore the first time, but he is very ill at the moment and unable to leave home.

Please help me. I would be very grateful to have my Thunderbird back and working correctly. I am on macOS Monterey, version 12.7.6 (21h1320).

I have been using Thunderbird for many, many years now and been happy with it.

However last 6 months or so, it has been constantly crashing, often several times a day. Crash reports almost never get sent as it says there is a technical error.

Using a HP Spectre 360 (7 years old) with Windows 10. All windows updates have been applied, and constantly virus checked etc. No other programs giving me grief like Thunderbird which is the most important program. Before Thunderbird I used Eudora which was also great. Always regretted changing to Thunderbird.

I am now over it and Thunderbird. How do I transfer all my emails, attachments etc going back 10-12 years or so to a new email program.

Any suggestions regarding a better email client. Don't want to use Outlook. Have been looking at Proton Mail.
