Remote images won't display in emails
Recently, many subscription emails, mostly stores, display without most (all?) of the images. Sometimes there is a "broken link" icon, sometimes the URL to the image, sometimes nothing at all.
If I click on the message's "Unable to see images? Click here" link, the page displays properly in my browsers; Google Chrome and Firefox. I have Thunderbird set to currently use Firefox. I tried changing to my default browser, Google Chrome with no change. My email accounts in Thunderbird are Google Gmail accounts. When I read the email using my browsers, the messages display correctly.
Running in Troubleshoot mode has no effect. Clearing the startup cache has no effect.

What do you have for View/Message Body As? Remote content such as images aren't shown if it's anything except Original HTML.
Original HTML. Not sure I even knew it could be changed to something else. So that's not it. I do appreciate the suggestion. Anything else?
In Preferences/Privacy & Security/Mail/Content, Exceptions, are any of the sites blocked?
Nothing is blocked...
Alt-tabbing between Thunderbird and Gmail browser, even your picture icon fails to display in T-bird.
Does your antivirus (name?) have any component that affects the TB profile folder, such as an anti-spam filter?
If remote content isn't blocked by the mail provider or Mail Content settings, and the setting is for Original HTML, there is likely another app interfering.
Huh. That's 'interesting'. Running Zscaler. With it on, Thunderbird just shows broken links. On or off, Gmail reads them all fine....
Run Windows in safe mode to bypass startup apps like Zscaler. Turning it on or off in Windows normal mode is not sufficient to test its effect.
