Why can't i see my emails from the 16th August to the present day?
I haven't received any of my emails for email: lwoolford52@sky.com, since the 16th August 2018. Why is this? I have tried checking on the Options menu/passwords information to check my passwords as well because I can't log in either and this is failing also. I'm at my wits end, can anyone help me please? Regards lynne woolford

Q :When you try to 'Get Messages' what happens ? Q :What is displayed in the bottom Status Bar eg: logging on, connecting , connected, checking messages, downloading mesages etc
Q :Do you get an error message ? If yes, please tell us the error message, word for word or better still, post an image of it.
Q :Can you logon to webmail account using a browser ? If yes: Q :Are there emails on server which arrived since 16th August 2018 ?
Then post the following info:
- In Thunderbird
- Help > Troubleshooting Information
- DO NOT select to include account names
- click on 'Copy text to clipboard' button
- In this forum question, right click in a 'post a reply text' box and select 'Paste'.
- You can remove all info on fonts and printers as not required, but do not edit anything else.
Hi Toad-Hall Thank you for your response sent recently. I still can't sign in to my emails. These are the messages that I get on screen when I try to do so;
- Mail Server Password Required Enter your password for lwoolford52@sky.com on imap.tools.sky.com
- This box is to put my password in
- Then underneath this box is the following message;
- Use password manager to remember your password
- There are two little boxes under this comment, one says OK the other says CANCEL. There is not an option that says 'Forgot my password' to click on.
So the next message comes up; Log-in Failed and then 3 little boxes, one says RETRY one says ENTER NEW PASSWORD and the other says CANCEL Still no message to say I have forgotten my password.
I do hope you can understand all this.

The issue here is that Thunderbird is a client. Therefore like you it can only use the password it has been given. What is needed is the Sky password.
Can you log into your mail on the sky web site? If not use their "forgot my password" links to get your password and give it to Thunderbird.
Having said all that it may not be a password issue at all.
