Just updated to Firefox 14.01. I selected a space themed persona, but the text at the very top of the Firefox browser is black. So I can't see the name of the page I'm on clearly. How do I change the text to white?

If anyone is confused, I'm talking about the text that is above the tabs. Not in the actual tabs themselves.

You can create style rules in Firefox to change the appearance of most of the interface, but absent a picture of your browser, I'm not sure which text you want to style.

From the top down, Firefox usually has:

  • Windows title bar: this can have the Firefox button, or it can have the title of the page displayed in the active tab.
  • (optional) classic Menu bar
  • Tab bar or Navigation toolbar, depending on your "Tabs on top" setting

I'm on a Mac. So the browser window shows (from top down): 1) Title of the page I'm on (this is center aligned) and on the same row as the red-yellow-green buttons. The text here is actually clear, so it kinda blends in with whatever background color I have.

2) Tabs with white text 3) URL, forward/backward buttons, home button, bookmark button.

So basically I want the title (1) to show white text instead of clear text.

If you've installed a persona then you can probably change the colors that are used on the about:config in the first entry of the lightweightThemes.usedThemes pref.

You can change the background "accentcolor":"-moz-dialog" and "textcolor":"#000000" values to make the text show properly.

Note that you may need to repeat the steps if you switch to another persona.
