My Firefox has been infected with external ads. I am in the UK, but the ads are for US products and usually for diet pills, face lifts, money making sites. The ads over shadows a widow/s and if a ad blocker is used the box changes to black. The screen shot shows three ads. One for money making, diet miracle tips and get $80 from google banner. I have tried many solutions and nothing is getting rid. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox, Ad blockers do not work and have used a number or ad ware removers and all do not work. Virus scans ect all do nothing to rid the problem. Have you any suggestions?

Regards.

Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer. Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. All these programs have free versions.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

You can also do a check for a rootkit infection with TDSSKiller.
