Firefox sync keeps asking for my two factor authentication key, and when i open google authenticator, and type the code into firefox, it tells me that the key is incorrect. I have tried waiting for a new key, and it still doesn't work. I then reset my firefox password but it still won't let me sign in. It requires the two factor key, but nothing works.

Do you have recovery codes that you can use?

Make sure that the time is set correctly on both devices. Two factor authentication for the Firefox Account works with a time depended code that is generated by a mobile device, so the time needs to be correct on both devices.

If you do not have recovery codes hat work or otherwise aren't able to connect to the Firefox account then reset the Firefox Sync password to see if that gives access to the account and disable two factor authentication on the Settings page.

You may have to try this more than once to be able to disable 2FA. You need a fresh login to the accounts.firefox.com website to be able to disable Two-Factor authentication and possibly setup 2FA properly.

I made sure the clocks were correct on both devices, but it still tells me that the authentication code is incorrect. I do not have access to the recovery codes. If I could just verify my identity with someone within Mozilla, could they then remove the 2FA? This is extremely frustrating and I will discontinue use of Firefox and switch to chrome if we can't get this resolved. I realize this is my fault for losing access, but I just wish I could speak to someone directly and get this sorted out quickly. I have so many logins saved within sync, that my life has became extremely stressful having to retype passwords into sites that I've been using for years. Some I can't remember, so I had to make new passwords for those sites.
