I have been watching football on one or two Sky Sports websites through Virgin Media which redirects me to the Sky Sports log on which I do as a Virgin Media Customer. This has been running smoothly for well over a year. Suddenly it has stopped with the error message "Secure Connection Failed". I have tried adding Sky Sports to the allowed web-sites on my security (Kaspersky and Malwarebytes) and clearing the caches as instructed by Mozilla but to no avail. What do I need to do to enable me to continue watching Sky Sports on my laptop. I'm afraid Virgin Media support told me to go back to the shop from which I bought the laptop, now 3-4 years ago.

Is there any Advanced button on this error page? Click it and paste here the certificate that should be there.

Hi TyDraniu,

Many thanks for your suggestion and I looked everywhere but I'm afraid there is no Advanced option and the comment on the page you get to from the "Find out more....." link has this comment for the error:

A Secure Connection Failed error page will include a description of the error, an option to report the error to Mozilla and a Try Again button. There is no option to add a security exception to bypass this type of error."

I've tried adding the websites to the allowed websites on Mozilla but this looks like it's impenetrable unless I report it to Mozilla and hope that they fix it.

I did copy the link into IE 11 and it worked but I'm not happy using IE as I don't think it's as secure as Mozilla - and for that, I've been frustrated.
