Why does a new tab identify not only Youtube etc but highlight a private document just read on a financial website. What are the security implications??
Not a happy bunny. New tab highlighted a private, personal document which I had read directly on a webpage in my account on a financial website. Yes I can turn off content on New Tab but that is not resolving the issue that sensitive data was taken from my account on a supposedly secure website. Please advise how this happened and ensure Firefox does not breach security in the future.

Please go further into detail as not grasping youtube and document in the same url, please further expand with detail. Thanks.
Hi Pkshadow, When opening a New Tab, I get 6 icons for access to sites eg Youtube, reddit, ebay etc in area designated Top Sites. Normally there is no icon displayed in the Highlights area.. I recently opened my account on a financial web site and read a private, personal document. By chance I opened a New Tab and in addition to the Top Sites icons, an icon naming the private document was displayed in the Highlights area of the New Tab. Since the document was 1) private with name, address etc 2) had financial content and 3) had come from a supposedly secure site, I use Firefox because it is described as a secure browser but I consider this as a breach of security. I would appreciate any comments you may have on this issue and the security implications.
When you are viewing banking information on line or personal info you should be taking extra precautions https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/control-center-site-privacy-and-security-firefox as well as deleting cookies https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/delete-cookies-remove-info-websites-stored clearing your cache https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-clear-firefox-cache you also have New Tab Page setup to show the Highlights section which shows you just that: Links to highlights from sites you’ve been exploring most recently on the web. Highlights show you the things you had just discovered and might want to get back to again. It includes sites you have bookmarked, files you have downloaded, Pocket stories that you have saved, or pages you have visited.
This information is stored, as to where besides the cache Volunteer Support does not know.
I can not find a Support Document for this but please Copy/Paste about:preferences#privacy into the Address Bar and Enter then go down to Permissions and look in every subject there.
