If you have been invited to join the pilot and are not interested, you may opt out. Likewise, if you opt in to participate in the pilot, you may discontinue your participation.

By opting out at the beginning of the Data Removal pilot, you will return to the existing Firefox Monitor experience. No data outside of the existing functionality of Monitor will be stored about you.

By discontinuing your service once you have opted in using the data removal pilot, your data will be deleted from our servers and from our partner, Kanary.

Opt out before enrolling

To opt out of the Data removal pilot:

1. Sign in to Monitor.
2. Click Data Removal in the top navigation menu.
3. Click the Opt Out button at the bottom of the enrollment screen.
4. Click Confirm Opt Out on the pop-up modal or Cancel to continue with enrollment.

Opt out after enrolling but before adding personal information

Alternatively, you can opt out after enrolling before entering your personal information if you do not want to provide the information required:

1. Click Data Removal in the top navigation menu.
2. Click the Join the Pilot button at the bottom of the enrollment screen.
3. Click Get Started on the Welcome to the Pilot screen
4. Click the Opt Out button at the bottom of the personal information entry form screen.
5. Click Confirm Opt Out on the pop-up modal or Cancel to continue with enrollment.

Discontinue the service after use

To discontinue the service, visit your dashboard:

1. Click Review my info at the top right side of the screen.
2. Click the Cancel Service button at the bottom of the screen.
3. Click Confirm Cancellation in the next screen or Nevermind to keep the service.
