This article describes the major changes in Thunderbird version 7. Note that this list was compiled as of the beta 3 build of Thunderbird version 7 and is subject to change.
This release mostly consists of back-end bug fixes and minor user interface tweaks. Several of these concern attachments:
- Improved interface for displaying attachments in the message reader
- Forwarding emails as attachments now records the message's size
- Adding attachments via the command-line now records their size
Other changes include:
- Display account names in the favorite folders pane only when there are duplicated folder names and
location information
