Message filters don't work. Thunderbird version 38.5.1
I have a LOT of filters setup.
I have filters setup so that when an email comes in, it's 1st marked as unread then 2nd., it's assigned to a folder.
I've checked the setup on all my filters & they are all setup the same.
My question is why are only some of the filters working? Many of the filters are marking the email as read. When that happens I have to go thru all the folders to find the email. I can't have that do to the volume of emails I receive.
What might be wrong & how do we fix it.

Why are you marking incoming mail as unread. Sounds like your using filters to fix some other problem.
I have lots of filters and see almost no issues with them at all, other than an occasional contention issue.
Oh and mark as unread then move will work. Move then do anything will fail as the mail is now gone.
