I need to re order the email accounts, not the individual folders. I can't seem to find any way to do this, although I know others must have this problem and there should be a solution. Any help gratefully appreciated.

Chosen solution

This allows for the re ordering of folders, ie trash, inbox, etc. I need to re order accounts, me@gmail, me@ca-info, fred@ca-info, and the like. These are the things that appear in the side bar, with the folders listed under the accounts.

You need to read the description better. It does both.

In big bold text at top of description. This extension allows you to manually sort (order) your folders in the folder pane of Thunderbird or automatically sort them, but in a better way. This extension also allows you to re-order accounts in the folder pane.
