So ive today updated my Firefox which I now totally regret as this latest layout is beyond garbage. Honestly, who designed this junk? Anyway now I cant use STATUS-4-EVAR on it so on every page i now have a stupid "transfering data bla bla bla!! in the bottom left hand corner ofthe screen. Ive search for hours to try and find a solution to this, no add ons or plug-ins will hide it. Surely SOMEONE knows how to hide it or remove it altogether???? I avoided updating for months cos the latest layouts have sucked big time,but then ofcourse I notice that it runs slower than a dead dog. If this status bar can NOT be hidden/removed.How do I download an ealier version where this Status-4-Evar plug-in did actually work... Ofcourse then though Im stuck using an old version of Firefox for good.... or until someone actually designs something that people like....Cos by the looks of things online a lot of people hate this new layout..And thats no suprise. It sucks. Totally. Super annoyed...

Hi, sorry you feel that way but that is there for security reasons so you can look and see that your about to be taken to the page you requested.

Pick your version you would like to go back to : https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

There should be an option to hide this...cos it is so annoying. You think im the only person who hatez this thing? The security reason is total nonsense. Pages load within a couple of seconds...not even long enough for someone to cry OH LOOK ITS REDIRECTING ME....PANIC!!! So really that security reason means nothing.it is nothing more than sheer laziness by the clown who came up with this so called update.

You have been given what you asked for to down grade. Please feel free to do so.

You will need to learn usserChrome to take that out if still wishing to.

This maybe what you need you will have to try it after making a usserChrome.css file :

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1186444 is Archived so no idea if still works. statuspanel[type="status"] { display: none !important; }

More that can do same stuff but no idea myself. You can always delete the usserChrome file and start again.

statuspanel[type="status"] .statuspanel-label[value^="Look"] statuspanel[type="status"] .statuspanel-label[value^="Connect"] statuspanel[type="status"] .statuspanel-label[value^="Wait"] statuspanel[type="status"] .statuspanel-label[value^="Send"] statuspanel[type="status"] .statuspanel-label[value^="Transfer"] statuspanel[type="status"] .statuspanel-label[value*="TLS handshake"] statuspanel[type="status"] .statuspanel-label[value*="FTP transaction"]
