Unable to install any addon
Hi.
Basically, I cannot install any addon. When I hit "Add to Firefox", a popup showing permissions appears, but the "add" and "cancel" does not work at all.
I tried downloading the xpi file and installing by opening it or clicking "Install add-on from file" in the Add-On manager but to no avail.
I also don't remember when I first got the problem. Maybe it was after updating to a newer version. I hesitated in asking for support, because it's such a pain to have to migrate everything manually. I used to use FEBE before. If there's no way for an easy migration to a new profile or easy fix, I rather stay as it is.
Thank you.

Possibly just a single file has become locked or corrupted; you may not need to do much more than remove that file and let Firefox regenerate it. Unfortunately, there's no way to know without trying.
Before getting into that:
(1) Does your current profile contain any files copied from other profiles?
(2) Does the Add-ons page, Extensions panel, work normally or is that broken in some way(s) as well?
Thank you for replying.
1. The only file I copied from another profile is the "userChrome.css" inside the chrome folder.
2. The Add-On page work just fine. I can change addons settings, activate/deactivate them. Themes too.
Hi agent666,
We're very sorry for the inconvenience here.
There has been a technical issue with Add-ons that the Firefox team is working on urgently (it affects in the installation of new add-ons and usage of installed add-ons). You can expect a resolution soon.
You can track updates to the issue through this post: https://discourse.mozilla.org/t/certificate-issue-causing-add-ons-to-be-disabled-or-fail-to-install/39047/
Sorry again, George

Hi geroter,
Thanks but the recent issue is not related to my problem. At least, mine's dated back for about 2 to 4 months ago.
