Why is it so difficult to sort bookmarks by name when it used to be so easy? What's the point? This isn't progress, it's a foul up.
More details? I've loooked at the answers help turns up, and at other people's queries, and it's clear to me that Mozilla screwed up when updating the system. So why not fix it? Alphabeticising one's bookmarks should be a no brainer!

The sorting of bookmarks has changed since Firefox 3 was released in June 2008.
1. {Ctrl + B} to open the Bookmarks Sidebar.
2. Select a folder to sort, right-click it and select Sort by Name.
3. That folder will be sorted - if you want all your bookmarks sorted, select the Bookmarks Menu folder. Will be sorted down to a Separator, so if you only want part of a folder sorted place a Separator where you want the sort to stop.
