If I save the message as a draft, then reopen it, the pane appears (2nd image)!

Why is the pane missing in the new message compose window?

The website WSJ has large areas on front page, including the opinion listing, are simply white and not 'there' on the page to click on. I've deleted their cookies without effect, tried turning off all adblockers, shut mac down to reboot, nothing seems to have an effect. This is a recent glitch of only several days, prior performance was great. Thanks!

Problem started with email contents of emails in inbox not displaying in the bottom pane. I tried some of the suggestions in troubleshooting. Then all emails disappeared from inbox. On restarting Thunderbird or when I ask to get new messages, I now get this message : Error with account wynandkok@mweb.co.za Unable to write the email to the mailbox. Make sure the file system allows you write privileges, and you have enough disk space to copy the mailbox.

Note: the disk has 184 GB of free space.

Hello,

I am in the process of linking my mail account via Thunderbird on my computer. However, I can no longer see my normal folder structure. However, if I link my account via my Android phone using the Thunderbird app, I have the option of selecting so-called special folders (see attachment screenshot 1). If I then select INBOX, my usual folder structure can be accessed again in the linked mail account on my phone (screenshot 2). Why don't I have this option in Thunderbird on my computer? Perhaps I thought I was using an outdated version of Thunderbird on my computer, but I cannot see the version number and cannot check whether I can update Thunderbird or not.

I have seen a custom css workaround solution to add category colors into calendar events. That solution still relies on calendar events having to be categorized in order to support color functionality.

How is it the year 2024 and Mozilla Thunderbird Calendar doesn't support event colors, independent of categories? This feature has been standard in most major calendar apps for literally decades now. All my Nextcloud calendar events are color coded (without categories), and won't sync to the Thunderbird app.

Can Thunderbird please add this functionality?

I am wondering if I need to change settings or if something else is wrong. Website continuously fail to load. Firefox is my default browser and when I use an email link is just spins! When I try to open FaceBook or games I use, I get a message that it is taking too long to load. This is a new problem since updating. I can't help but think there is a connection.

Up to a few days ago, when someone sent me a meeting invitation by email, I could accept it on my Thunderbird email app (on my windows 11 laptop) and it would be added to my Thunderbird calendar. When I would open an email invitation, there was always a line/bar that would appear below the subject line that would say "this message contains an invitation to an event" on the left side and then buttons with "accept" "tentative" "decline" on the right side of that line. This line/bar no long appears in email event/meeting invitations. On my windows 11 Laptop with Thunderbird version 128.2.1esr (64) bit, that line/bar no longer appears and I can no longer accept event/meeting requests sent to me by email. I could do this before, and I have an example from my old windows 10 laptop using Thunderbird version 115.15.0 (32 bit). Did something change with a new Thunderbird update? Or do I need to change some setting in my Thunderbird version 128.2.1esr (64 bit) app? See attached example of meeting requests received by email on both versions of Thunderbird. The email from the 115 version shows that event line/bar the email from the 128 version doesn't. Any advice? Thanks in advance.
