Regular emails go fine. When I add attachment it says it goes but doesn't even though in sent folder. I go into sent folder and send as a forward and it goes fine. Using webmail works fine but I prefer thunderbird. Have been using it for at least 10 years. At the present time I have to send w/attachment twice and then ask the recipients if they got it. Lot of extra work. Help!

Hello ; I planed 3 days ago to empty my spams and by mistake I deleted all the content (all the e-mails) of the file Deleted (the dust-bin, or Trash, I don't know the word in English) as I clicked "empty Deleted" ; is there a way to restore those e-mails of the Deleted file that I emptied by mystake ? Whenever I reply to a message, the reply as well as the original appears in my inbox. I thought it might be related to Threaded Replies, but that is set in Sort>View to "Unthreaded."

How do I stop this? I'd like to keep the original message I rec'd. And if I need to see my reply I can go to 'Sent' folder. I don't need each and every message in a back-and-forth filling my inbox.

When trying to send an email I get this error message: We're sorry, but we can't send your email. Either the subject matter, a link, or an attachment potentially contains spam, or phishing or malware. Please check or edit your message and try sending it again. (6-1-3-2) ID (6722AF42024027E5). Please check the message and try again. The email in question is of course perfectly innocent. I first got this a few days ago and had to resort to using online email, which is clunky as I cannot organise it like Thunderbird! I tried closing everything down and starting again but with no result. However the following day everything was back to normal. Now it has happened again. There must be a reason1 Any help or advice please would be much appreciated. Carol

If I select only Inbox in each Gmail account under Edit Saved Search Properties for Inbox then a lot of mail is not displayed. If I select only All Mail then a lot of mail is not displayed. However, if I select both Inbox and All Mail, then all the mail is displayed, HOWEVER, then I have duplicates of everything in my Unified Inbox.

I upgraded from 115 to 228.4, but now 228.4 will not replicate text formatting (style, color, bold) pasted from a Word document, as it did using 115. Yet the same program (228.4), same computer, on the other User Account works properly. Is there a config setting that might cure the problem, or anything else, perhaps a missing file in my ill-working Profile directory? I am at a loss as this feature is very important to me. (I'm also a technical novice.)

I'm trying to configure justified alignment for my sent emails that have line wrapping.

My sent emails are already line-wrapped to 72 characters, but the line-wrapped content doesn't have justified alignment. I tried setting Format > Align > Justify and Alignment (icon) > Justify in email compose window, but it only justifies content in the editor, not receiver's end.

Is there any setting that achieves my desired effect?

Thunderbird by default abreviates new groups, which makes our review news groups unintelligible. This has been dealt with before, but solutions are not working for me on the newest Thunderbird. Alternative solution :

I can change the setting mail.server.default.abbreviate, but it does not change the display without a reset. After a reset the setting is back to true.

The link mentions saving the setting with a tick box, but I cannot see a tick box.

With Thunderbird for Windows, my system shows total emails unread. In Thunderbird for Android, it shows 99+. Can this be changed to show total? I have emails I don't need to read, but need to keep them for records.

ALSO Windows shows the total emails in a different color when there are new emails. This doesn't happen with Android version, or am I missing something?

Can other colors be used besides light and dark theme? Selecting multiple emails to delete and the color change is very slight.
