How do I stop my mouse's middle click button to go back one page in Firefox?

When I click my mouse wheel or middle button on an empty space, it should let me place a scroll the page marker so then I can scroll the page up or down depending on where I move my mouse. It still does that but now it also make me go back one page. I don't have any extension related to it. I am using Logitech M325 mouse and Firefox 30.0.

HI chibuki, Thank you for your question. I am not sure why this is happening, but I can help find out! The middle mouse button should do this: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/mouse-shortcuts-perform-common-tasks

You can check the settings in the Logitech mouse driver software to make sure that all mouse wheel settings have the default value.

You can also try to set mousewheel.*.action keys that are 2 to 1 on the about:config page.

  • action: 0=lines, 1=pages, 2=history , 3=text size
