Certain webpages not loading (hanging) in Firefox 6 and 7. No improvement in Safe Mode or from clearing cache/cookies. The pages work fine in Chrome and IE and Firefox 5.0.1 on this computer , and also load fine in Firefox 7 on other computers.
On my main computer, Firefox 6 and 7 will not load certain webpages (redsox.com, for instance--the pages just hang interminably). Starting in Safe Mode does not help. I keep downgrading to 5.0.1 and the pages load fine; they also load fine in Chrome and IE. Also, the pages load fine in Firefox 7 on other computers, so it seems to be a problem with this configuration/installation...have cleared cache and cookies without improvement. Any advice?

Could you be more specific? I found my Profile...what are you suggesting I do?
Thanks--

That seems to have fixed it--THANKS! It was a bit laborious (having to reinstall add-ons, restore bookmarks, recreate open tabs) but worth it!
THANK YOU!
Your welcome.
I would have tried to troubleshoot the issue with the other profile, but with you there and me here we could be at it for hours(days). Now that you have seen what it takes to get back to where you were, you might want to give some thought as to how you could create backups to make a new profile easier. FF is in a fast pace these days trying to keep up with the latest trends, so it is very possible something could go wrong again. It is nice to be safe than sorry.
My two cents.
