v133 Performance Problems - Tab Bar extremely slow to react on mouseover, tab switch also extremely slow

Switching between tabs used to be instant. Ever since updating to v133, it takes over a second (both through the Ctrl-Tab shortcut and through clicking on another tab in the tab bar), which is really really bothering me.
The tab bar has also started taking over a second to react visually when I hover over it with the mouse, even with thumbnail previews disabled. I have no idea what's causing this. Please help.
