I clicked on firefox, saw the "latest" 4.0 version for free download, went through all the steps. Then, tried to open updated version and my computer says it does not support this version. I just want to get it back to the firefox I had...maybe the 3.6 version and use it. If I had any idea this would happen, I never would have updated. I've updated lots of things before, but have not had this problem.

Not only did I have the same thing happen, but since updates have always worked, I let it replace my old app, only to find that it won't run, and now I've lost a LOT of very important bookmark info that I'd amassed over 3 years! I'm so bummed and upset! Firefox...help us!

I have a solution! Follow this link and download the older version. When I installed it, everything came back as it was before! Yay! Good luck to you all. And bad move, Mozilla, in not making it clearer what the system requirements were for the update!!!!
