The Menu at the top of e-mail to be sent disappeared so I can's send e-mail. I was able to click "File" and then click "Send Now" for a few days but the menu bar just disappeared. k.blair@sunflower.com

I have a Word doc: This PC > Documents > Working > Demo > MyWordDoc.docx

I use Windows Explorer to navigate to This PC > Documents > Working > Demo

I highlight the file and choose SendTo and select Thunderbird

A Thunderbird message is created: - there is an attachment c:\Users\User\Documents\Working\Demo\MyWordDoc.docx - in the message the attachment's size appears as 0 bytes - see Fig 1

When I attempt to send the message I get an error saying "There was an error attaching . . . . Please check that you have access to the file."

Taking another approach I create a new message in Thunderbird

From the message screen I add the attachment This PC > Documents > Working > Demo > MyWordDoc.docx - there is an attachment MyWordDoc.docx (note there is no path prior to the filename) - in the message the attachment's size appears as 11.9 KB - see Fig 3

I can send this message (and its attachment) successfully.

These seems to have started in the beginning of November - I don't use SendTo every day so it is difficult to pinpoint exactly when it began.

Thunderbird 128.5.0 (64 bit) - I upgraded to latest version before posting this Windows 10 Pro 10.0.19045 - Updates are current

Why cannot I use SendTo to create a message with an attachment?

see the pictures: problems with receiving and sending emails. -my webmail functions correct, -internet is without problems, -XS4ALL states: no errors on their side, and account-info is correctly filled in, -windows 10, all updates installed, -fault is approx 3 weeks there, -sometimes it takes Thunderbird 6 hours to receive and send any emails, -version 128.5.0,

I use Thunderbird for many years, this is the first time I get problems, please help; Emails are important these days, because government and insurance companies communicate this way.

I have Moz on two separate machines; one a Lenovo laptop Win10, the other a Lenovo desk top Win8. My message filters have stopped working. I can't tell if it's all or some, as I have 30 or more on each one. All I know is, my inbox is full of spam and messages supposed to be auto-moved to sub folders are still present. Furthermore when troubleshooting this, manually running both existing and new filters simply does nothing.

What can I do?

When trying to paste a screenshot from my PC (Windows 11), it fails—it does nothing. I've been attempting to set 'mail.compose.attach_http_images' to true and selecting "Only HTML" in the "Compose messages in HTML format" settings, but it still doesn't work. However, the screenshot from the clipboard can be successfully pasted into the Paint app.

Do you have any ideas or suggestions for resolving this issue?

I'm finding threads that include the correct emails for the subject, but also additional emails that do NOT relate to the original subject. How do I pull the other "subjects" from being in the wrong thread and create their own thread. See the highlighted emails in the attached image. Each color represents a separate thread that should stand on its own.

Hallo und guten Tag, ich habe seit Ende September ein großes Problem. Wir sind 3 Personen die zusammen auf einen Emailaccount zugreifen. Bisher haben wir Schlagwörter nutzen können um den anderen mitzuteilen, dass die Email bearbeitet wurde usw. Nun synchronisieren die Schlagwörter nicht mehr und alles versinkt im Chaos. Können Sie mir helfen? Gibt es eine Einstellung die ich machen muss? Emailaccount ist bei Ionos.

Since moving to Windows 11 and reinstalling Thunderbird, I cannot access emails by this route. I have a domain hosted by Easily and can get to my emails directly through their Control Panel, but using the same email, password, ports etc through TB it fails to find the account. I have rechecked all the settings with Easily and tried several times entering them manually in TB, with the same result. What else can I do?

Hi I started my Thunderbird on my laptop today 2024-11-26. However, last emails are from 2024-11-19, i.e 7 days ago.

I don't see what's wrong. No filters, strange sorting or similar are applied. When I login to same mailadress via webmail instead, everything works. There I have many mails between 19th Nov until today 26th Nov.

What will Thunderbird do if I delete a folder which sorting rule in Thunderbird should move message? I need an answer which actual for Thunderbird versions 40 and higher. Thanks.

I have rule to move messages from Inbox to user created folder. I want to move all messages from this folder and delete empty folder. How will work work? Will stay messages in Inbox? Yes I want to stay messages in Inbox.

Why can I not delete rule? There are case when I have no access to machine with Thunderbird and rule, when I use browser to manage my mailbox.

Since installing thunderbird, following failure of my Outlook email manager I have been unable to print an email attachment using the system dialog option and also unable to print in draft format to save on ink.

Any suggested fix?

For some reason I have recently started to be unable to view images in emails.

Various image types such as JPG or PNG do not show & I get an error message like this one:

What should Thunderbird do with this file?

    O Open with
    O  Save File
    [ ] Do this automatically for files like this from now on.

This is a big Thunderbird Portable 128.4.3 32 Bit Install with many years of emails.

I've recently been experiencing a new problem with Thunderbird. As soon as I click on a subfolder in the left column that is bolded to indicate the presence of an unread email, the unread email immediately disappears. I can usually find it in either the Junk folder or in Trash. Is this possibly a bug in the latest update?

There a $21.40 charge on my CC statement for MZLA Thunderbird email. I had no idea who or what Thunderbird was until looking online. Found the website and saw Thunderbird is a "free" email app. My Verizon rep added it to my new iPhone 16 when it wouldn't send emails via my normal email provider (breezeline.net). I was not told the app was being installed, or that there is a fee for use it. He handed me back my phone and I saw a new gmail account had been added. What is the charge for? And why was I charged?
