HTML5 videos freeze after loaded, audio keeps playing

This started happening some months ago in my old laptop and it also occurs now in the new one. A lot of times, when I play an HTML5 video (not just in YouTube, it also happens in Streamcloud for example), after it's fully loaded and I start playing it, it will stop (on YouTube the "loading" animation appears), and the audio will keep playing. The only thing I can do is mute it and reload the page. Whenever it happens, it usually happens again after a while, and it's really frustrating to have to reload a few times after it's loaded to be able to watch a 1 hour video.

My laptop has two video cards, an Intel HD integrated one and a dedicated NVIDIA GeForce. It doesn't matter which one I use or if I turn hardware acceleration on or off, the issue persists.

What can I do?

Check that all of your software is up to date.

Also, post the web address where you are having problems.

I'm using the latest version of Firefox.

As I said, it happens on YouTube and others sites like Streamcloud, not in certain videos, it's pretty random.

When I said to check your software, I mean ALL of the software. Plugins, add-ons, all other programs.

Also, post the web address where you are having problems.

All my plugins and add-ons are updated.

Since you insist, here's a video where I had the issue (been having it in pretty much all of them in some moment now though):

Its not that I insist, its so I and others can look for ourselves.

Hellhammer - Satanic Rites (1983) (Full Album)

It played okay for me. Its possible your web service is too slow for the stream, so it has to pause the player now and then. Have you tried to download the clip?

My Internet speed is usually not a problem when watching YouTube videos (I can stream HD videos without a problem), and that specific video is actually just audio, so it loads completely in just a few seconds (I don't have MSE enabled, therefore DASH isn't enabled on YouTube, so I can load the entire video and then watch it), but suddenly it happens. Other times I may be able to watch a long video without a problem, as I said it's very random, it's driving me nuts.

Edit: I've noticed now that when playing video (again in YouTube or Streamcloud so far) if I enter fullscreen the video plays normally, but if I move the mouse causing the video controls to show, it starts lagging a lot. These issues are not present when using the Flash player.

Those topics seems to related to Flash Player rather than HTML5.I have no problems when using Flash, but I'd rather use HTML5.

By the way, the fullscreen issue seems to be gone now, while the video freezing and audio continuing still persists, happening maybe more often now.

I have not tried this, but take a look at it;

I don't understand, how could that add-on help solve this problem?

I think it replaces the flash programs. I have not tried it.

But since I've already enabled the HTML5 trial in YouTube and the HTML5 player in Streamcloud, that would make no effect.
