The top of page where FF icon is there is asian language lettering, why?
Everything on the pages are in English, and this is the language I've selected in the settings. But the top of the page next to the firefox icon is asian characters. How do I change it to english? I'm using a Dell with windows vista.

- The RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin extension (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) has been reported to cause that issue.
- Be sure not to get confused with the RealPlayer plugin (Tools > Add-ons > Plugins) that plays media files. The extension adds some extra features like saving media files.
- You can disable/remove the RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin extension in the RealPlayer Preferences (RealPlayer: Tools > Preferences > Download & Recording)
- If you see CJK (Chinese/Japanese) characters on the Firefox title bar or the Windows Taskbar then that can happen if Firefox switches to UTF-16 encoding for some reason. Tools > Options > Content > Fonts and Colors > Advanced, "Character Encoding".

You need to update your plug-ins. It is important to keep them updated due to continuing security fixes and improvements in those plug-ins:
- Java Plug-in 1.6.0 for Netscape Navigator (DLL Helper)
- Note: Beginning with Firefox 3.6.x, requires Java 1.6.0.10 or higher
- Check your plugin versions: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/
- Note: plugin check page does not have information on all plugin versions
- Update Java: https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Using+the+Java+plugin+with+Firefox
