Will HTC Desire get Firefox back?

more options

This is a two part question.

1. Earlier Firefox could be used on HTC desire. Now the device is unsupported and I can't download Firefox. Is support temporarily dropped or will I never be able to use mobile FF again?

I see the Desire's brother HTC Nexus One still has support whilst apart from sense the phone is the same. Is sense the reason support has been dropped? If so where can I get the apk? I am running ICS without sense.

Chosen solution

Maybe the "Play" store is behaving differently, because previously the supported device list didn't seem to restrict installations.

You should be able to get the version 14 APK from here: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/mobile/releases/14.0/android/

Of course, if for some reason you haven't updated your Desire to Android 2.2 or later, you will need to do that.

Incorrect. Just read @ forum that they dropped support over performance issues. Thank you for the link! Downloaded and installed, working great!

Thanks for your time.

P.S. running ICS means I have android 4 (4.0.4)
