Hyperlinks on Graphics When Composing Messages

I have been using Thunderbird for the past 15 years and compose messages in HTML with external links, using graphics. I have always used the dropdown Link dialogue box from the Formatting Toolbar.

I just recently installed the version 78.2.0 - fresh install on a new Windows 10 system. I have no extensions or add-ons installed.

Now, when composing an email, and trying to insert a hyperlink on a graphic, the web site address is not being saved. Instead, it reverts to mailbox:///C:/Users/Owner/AppData/Roaming/Thunderbird/Profiles/vfsud4rl.default/Mail/xxxxxxxx/Drafts?number=13

Have been able to get the link to 'stick' by using the Insert Link, clicking OK, then immediately repeating those steps a second time, which then brings up a different dialogue box titled Link Properties, (Mixed Selection). There has to be a simpler way to do this but the solution is eluding me.

Inserting a hyperlink onto plain text from the same dialogue box works.

Thank you, in advance, for any assistance you can provide.

Just downloaded version 78.2.2 and it looks like the problem has been fixed. Again, thank you for getting involved.
