Firefox tries to connect to broadband when I am already connected to home wifi. How can I turn off this repeated attempt.
I boot my laptop and connect to my home wifi network. When I use Firefox, and am on msn.com or Yahoo.com, a window pops up for a connection to broadband, and it prevents the computer from moving to a link or another website unless I cancel this popup. It happens regularly while I am using Firefox to get to websites.

Please provide a screenshot of that "popup for a connection to broadband".

It is best to use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot and make sure that you do not exceed a maximum file size of 1 MB.
Then use the Browse .... button below the Post a Reply text box to upload the screenshot.

Here is my screen print.
That is a Windows error message; beyond the scope of this forum. Looks like those two websites are trying to do something unexpected or other than "normal".
I tried to search for info about a 720 error message on Windows 8, most responses included reading the error log to see what "request" was triggering that message. That image shows that logging is enabled, so the answer "we" need is probably in that log. I don't know how to pull up that log myself, much explain how to do that to you.
My suggestion is to try a Windows 8 support forum for help with that. http://www.eightforums.com/
Thank you.
