Each time Firefox updates, my homepage (that I previously set in "Options") reverts to Yahoo search, or something like that. I have no 3rd-party toolbars or extensions enabled. Is this an issue across Firefox users, or is there a setting I can use to make sure my homepage settings are preserved through updates?

Hi, you have had something install with what ever you were installing. There are several programs that will switch to yahoo or to bing. Please go through your Programs & Features and uninstall anything that you do not remember installing as well make sure you need stuff there still.

Firefox Changed from using Yaho as default search engine for ver 57

Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.

You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista if you don't already have one. Windows 8/10 have antivirus protection built-in.

Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.
