I am using the Firefox Developer Edition which has a very nice Responsive Design View option. When in that mode there is an option to take a screenshot of the currently resized website.

I am wondering if there is maybe a setting somewhere that would allow to take a full page screenshot, instead of only getting the visible part?

I think that would be really handy, many times we need the whole resized design/page to show to the clients, at least from my experience.

There is a way to take a full page screenshot. But you need the "Developer Tools" open first. Press Ctrl+Shift+I to open them.

Look at the icons on the top right of the Developer tools. To the right of the Responsive Design Mode icon, there is a wheel icon for Settings. Click that and scroll to the bottom of the options. On the left side column under Available Toolbox Buttons, put a checkmark on "Take a fullpage screenshot". A fullpage screenshot button will now appear next to the RDM button.

I just tested this in Responsive Design Mode and it does work! So enjoy! :)

Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for what you want.

Most let you choose what is saved. Full page, or selected.

@FredMcD Thanks for the reply, but I think your answer doesn't answer my question.

I know there are various addons for taking screenshots, but that wasn't my question.

I wanted to know if it is possible to take a full page screenhot by using the Responsive Design View mode inside Developer edition.

Currently the only option, as far as I know, is to take the screenshot of the visible part of the viewport.
