I want to go back to Firefox 31 from Firefox 32. How do I do this?
I have found that Firefox 32 is not compatible with the Win 7 desktop theme that I am currently using (High Contrast White Theme). I filed this issue as bug on the Bugzilla website, but until they get that issue fixed, I want to go back to Firefox 31.
My questions are: 1. Do I have to uninstall Firefox 32 first, or can I just install Firefox 31 over Firefox 32? 2. Will I lose (or mess up) my Firefox settings by doing this? 3. Where can I get Firefox 31? 4. Is there a way I can stop automatic Firefox updates from occurring, and instead get a prompt?
Thank you for any information anyone can give on this.

Because the latest versions of Firefox contain the latest security patches, the older versions of Firefox may have security or functionality issues. It is for this reason that we do not recommend downgrading your version of Firefox.
If you would still like to downgrade Firefox, you can download any version of Firefox from here.
May I ask why you are downgrading?
Now the answers to your questions:
- You should be able to simply install Firefox 31.0 and it should overwrite version 32.0.
- Your settings should remain unchanged, however, I would recommend backing up your application data in case something goes wrong.
- See above
- This setting can be changed related to automatic updates can be found under the "Advanced" tab of the Options window

Wesley Branton asked: "May I ask why you are downgrading?"
First of all Wesley, thank you for answering my questions so quickly.
As I stated in the beginning of my questions, Firefox 32 is not compatible with the current Win 7 desktop theme that I am using (High Contrast White Theme). Specifically, Firefox 32 uses the colors that are set in the Win 7 High Contrast White Desktop Theme, even though Firefox Tools/Options/Content/Colors.../"Allow pages to choose their own colors..." is checked. When this check box is checked in the Firefox dialog, all web pages should have their own colors, NOT the Win 7 High Contrast White Desktop Theme colors.
Apparently, the Tools/Options/Content/Colors.../"Allow pages to choose their own colors..." option is broken in Firefox 32. It worked fine in Firefox 31. Some webpages are actually unreadable in Firefox32, because the print may be the same color as the Windows background color that has been set in the Win7 High Contrast White Theme.
This is why I want to go back to Firefox 31, until someone from Mozilla resolves this issue. As I stated earlier I filed this issue on the Bugzilla website, but I don't know if any of the developers over there will read it. It's listed as:
"Bug 1062485 - Firefox 32 is not compatible with Windows 7 High Contrast White Desktop Theme" --

Does it make any difference if you uncheck "Use system colors" in that dialog?
No. I tried that, and it didn't work. However, I just went back to Firefox 31, and all of the check box options work as they are supposed to, so I think that this is where the problem is in Firefox 32. Therefore, I'm not going back to Firefox 32 (or any future new versions) until they resolve this issue.
