I am running a recent version (updated 9/11/2012 ... but I can't get to it to see the version number) of Firefox on Windows 7. Firefox is running, I can close it using the Windows task bar or Task Manager, and when I reopen it, I briefly (< 1 sec) see a full-screen window, then it goes away. I can hover over the taskbar icon and see a thumbnail of the page it has open, but can't get it to show the full window.

I've tried using Task Manager's Switch To and Bring to Front features to no avail. I rebooted the computer and still get the same behavior.

Any ideas?

Hi,

You can try deleting the localstore.rdf and sessionstore.js files in the Firefox Profile Folder. Before that, you can also try to Shift + Right-click the Taskbar icon > Move, move the mouse once without clicking, and then use the arrow keys on the keyboard. You may have to experiment with the four arrow keys. Hopefully the window will appear.

THANK YOU!

I had tried the Move trick (I have to right-click on the thumbnail that appears when I hover over the taskbar icon -- the shift+right-click does not work for me), but didn't know to try the arrow keys. That fixed it. Thanks again!
