Gmail - Cannot receive emails
Have installed T'Bird on my wife's new laptop. Have had a google problem, which you solved. Am now asking about getting Gmail on T'Bird. Have installed it a few times and get the same problem. Added to my own laptop T@Bird, no problems.
Error is Unable to connect to your IMAP Server. You may have exceeded the maximum number of connections to this server. If so etc....
Can anyone help me to solve this problem. Many thanks

What Anti-Virus product is on the problem computer? Avast ?
Restart Computer in 'Safe Mode with networking' Start Thunderbird Report on results.
Am using Kapersky, contacted them and they suggested the problem was T@Bird's. Have done a work around by setting up another email account and forwarding to that. Seems to work.

try turning your wifes phone off... especially if it is an apple product.

Did you Restart Computer in 'Safe Mode with networking' then Start Thunderbird ?
