My Bookmark TOOLS have disappeared, but not the bookmarks.
This morning while using Mozilla Firefox, items I had placed on the Bookmark Toolbar were visible, but the tools to add a bookmark (star) and to look at "other bookmarks" have disappeared. I have tried the "custom" Show/Hide toggle several times, but the Bookmarks TOOLS are still gone.

Thanks so much. Suggestion #2 worked perfectly. I clicked the 3-bar menu and the bookmark "Star" was there. I moved it up to the toolbar, and all is well. Thanks again.

Hi stephanielewis38, the Show/Hide is for whole toolbars, so you'll need to hunt around a bit for the missing buttons/controls. Could you check these possibilities:
(1) Possibly those controls "overflowed" off the main toolbar. Do you see a button similar to >> on the bar? If you hover/click that, it should show the buttons/controls that no longer fit on the bar. You can use Customize to move it left until it fits on the bar. See: Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars.
(2) Possibly that pair of buttons moved to the application menu. If you click the "3-bar" menu button, do you see it there? To move it back to the main toolbar, you can right-click > Move to Toolbar. To move to a particular position, you can use Customize.
(3) Possibly they have been removed from the toolbars and the menu. Use Customize to check whether it is among the available buttons/controls that you can drag up to the toolbar.
(4) Possibly they moved to a different bar. ??
Can you track down the missing buttons in any of those ways?
