I am asked to upgrade, but I think your new version is only on intel based macs. Is that true? Thanks ken

Yes, Mozilla no longer directly supports the old PowerPC architecture. But the real beauty of Mozilla is that anyone can take the basic program and create their own version of a web browser which is almost exactly the same as Firefox. The only real limitation is that they can't use the name or "branding" (icons and such). A group of Mac users did that to make a version of "Firefox 4 - 5 -6" for those old PPC Macs.

For older Macs that aren't supported in Firefox 4 / 5 / 6, try TenFourFox for PowerPC's running Mac 10.4.11 & 10.5.8 .
