Everytime I get up for a minute, my computer turns off-is there a way to turn off "sleep" and "hibernate" functions?

My computer used to stay on...since I work with customers, my computer work is often interrupted. It keeps turning itself off if I stop for a minute and it is annoying to keep turning it back on each time. Under the "Start"function-I looked where you shut down your computer and noticed "Sleep"-which says turns off and saves info...and "Hibernate"-which turns off and saves info...but I don't always remember those being there. Is there a way to turn this off so my computer stays on?

This is unrelated to firefox, but I think I can help you:

  1. Click on the battery (if you're plugged in, it will have a picture of a plug) on your windows taskbar (near the clock)
  2. Click More Power Options
  3. alternatively, go to Control panel -> Power options
  4. Click Change when the computer sleeps
  5. Adjust the settings so that your computer doesn't sleep for a long period of time.
