I want to remove "share browser" from my browser toolbars

more options

On my browser window I have my "bookmarks toolbar" - that's OK, I want it there. But right underneath that is a spot that looks like two more bookmarks - WebEx and Share Browser. I do NOT want those, and can't find how to get rid of them. There is no line separating them from the <desired> bookmarks. If they are plugins, I want to UNplug them.

As a general observation, your plugin list is quite long. You may want to set plugins with no obvious utility to "Never Activate" to minimize any potential issues they might cause. On the Add-ons page mentioned above, click Plugins in the left column, then you can modify plugin permissions on the right side.

Hi cameradog, if it's a separate bar, most likely it is added by an add-on, probably one associated with WebEx.

First, I'd try hiding it: To turn different bars on and off, you can use one of these methods to show the toolbar list and (de)select the bar(s) there:

Then look for wanted/unwanted bars and click them to toggle between displayed and hidden.

Does that work? And perhaps more importantly, does it stick?

If the bar keeps coming back unbidden, you may need to disable an add-on, most likely an extension.

You can view, disable, and often remove unwanted or unknown extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a (Mac: Command+Shift+a)
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then cast a critical eye over the list on the right side. All extensions are optional. If in doubt, disable.

Often a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.

Any improvement?
