Date displayed is mm/dd/yyyy. Can I change to dd/mm/yyyy
Using new system Linuxmint 19. Messages are displayed by mm/dd/yyyy but I'm sure my previous system showed dd/mm/yyyy. How can I change.

I am also a Linux user and the date format thing stopped working for me a few versions back.
I resorted to using the Super Date Format add-on.
ConfigDate also looks promising.

Thanks for the suggestions. ConfigDate doesn't do it. Super Date Format would if I could load it but it won't. It's posted as earlier Thunderbird versions only.
On the otherhand I've just installed Super Date Format again. All Solved. Many thanks.

The addon doesnt work for later versions of T-bird. :-( Seems I have to put up with this annoying and non-standard datestyle now. :-((( (I tell my American clients "we'll drive on the right when you start using metric and standard date-formats". Hahahaha)
