I have had software problems recently and have lost a number of functions that I could use your help with. My browser is Firefox. And for my home page I use "my.earthlink".

Upon completion of the repair, I discovered that all my stored passwords and user names were lost. I had 189 protected items that are now gone. Does your program (Mozilla/Firefox) have a cloud file or another method to retrieve this information?

Hi. Recently, in my Firefox browser on Windows, there is a new "News" section on the new tab page - how can I get rid of this??

I like the Pocket stories on the new tab page, precisely because they are usually *not* news - they are interesting, thought-provoking, or quirky stories that provide a break from actual news headlines. I need to escape the actual "breaking news." Please allow users to get ride of the "real" news section.

Hi, I use Thunderbird to recieve my emails and I save my emails on my mac but I see that the content of almost all emails from december 2023 to august 2024 are disappeared. The emails are not lost. It is only the content and the header? It is strange.

Sporadically, in Thunderbird Mobile Android (Pixel 9), deleted emails do not go into the Trash Folder. E.g., as of today it shows some emails deleted today, but then there is a gap going back 4 days. Nor does it (the Trash Folder) appear to sync with the server which shows "No Messages" on my Windows 11 computer. Started about 4-5 days ago (21Nov).

interesting behavior with a CalDaV calendar entry/date.

Scenario: Create a calendar-entry (date) with an alarm-setting (1h before...). Wait until the new entry is synced to the CalDAV server, in my case a Nextcloud. Close TB. Got to the Nextcloud calendar, or to and other client with that CalDAV Calendar, and remove the alarm, I do frequently in case the date paste... Start TB. After sync of the calendar, TB is telling you, that the date was changed at the server and asked "how to handle the detected conflict" (see screenshot). But 1. it isn't a conflict, just a normal change, which should change the local, "old" date 2. acting on the conflict resolution by pressing the button "Skip changes, load new" (Änderungen verwerfen und neu laden), I'm expecting to get the server version exchanging the local, old one... It does not: The local version will stay with the alarm. These date will not sync to server until TB is restarted. The alarm is now back on the server.

If the alarm is removed at the server (or on another client) while TB is running, the alarm is removed locally as "normal" change by synchronization...

I guess it is a bug!?

I'm using TB Version 128.4.3esr; build-id: 20241108210256 on Windows 11 (64bit). But this is also with TB under Linux (ubuntu, mint)

my thunderbird quite downloading messages. I don't get any errors or warnings or anything. It won't download when thunderbird first opens and it won't download if I click download. It doesn't do anything at all to tell me if I have an error. It just doesn't download. My email works online and on iphone still. Win 11 Mozzila browser i7

Hi, I download some e-mails. After checking the emails, I want all of them to be deleted from thunderbird but... ...I want only specified emails deleted from server.

In Mac's "Mail" program, there was a special window, where I could see all e-mails on server and just select which I want to remove from server.

In old Outlook, I've used "Rules". There I could set the parameters for specified e-mails and then tell outlook to "leave that message on server" or "Don't download that message from server".

How to do it in Thunderbird?

Hi - I have Firefox set as my default browser and Google as my search. It still shows up in my settings as Firefox (default). For some reason, even when I click on the Firefox icon, Bing overrides it and takes me to the Bing browser / search page. I have gone through settings a dozen times and cannot figure out how to fix this! Help!

That's pretty much it. Not entire web pages but a few words up to an entire line of text rendered in such a way as to be illegible. Most frequently, it looks like letters are superimposed with other letters. But also letters can be missing (e.g. baby becomes bab) or even occasionally rendered as what look like superscripts. Oddly, if I move the cursor over the bad text, it changes to what it should be. Or sometimes I have to select the text. Very rarely, nothing fixes it. This started with a system crash recently that required rebuilding a substantial chuck of hardware and a clean reinstall of Windows. A few days ago, I also did a clean reinstall of Firefox but the problem persists.
