Recently found a problem of high GPU usage when watching videos. I have encounter this on other websites but YouTube is the most prevalent. Currently running is a NVIDIA 4060ti and the percentages I am getting range from a low of 15 to the high of 28. Hoping to gather some information on the topic and would love some explanation. I have already tried with no extensions enabled but had no luck in stopping the issue. Version 132.0.2 (64-bit) on a Windows 10 desktop.

For the past day or so every video on YouTube pauses after one minute with the 'Circle of Death' icon. Just hangs. Reloading the page only clears for a short time and after another minute it happens again. Speed tests and diagnostics from my Internet provider shows no constraints or problems with the connection. Other streaming applications do not have this problem. This happens with Firefox and Edge trying to show YouTube videos. Is there an application setting or Mozilla update that may have affected this activity? The attached image shows the pause at 1:00 minute.

I see this as a performance problem, and one that I'd hoped would be solved by now, since others brought it up in an Apple Forum.

When using iCloud Notes, the list always used to have empty circles/radio buttons to click on when done. They have all become black squares instead. Apparently this happened, according to a poster, with version 131.0. If so, it is still a problem with version 132.0.2, which I currently have.

Recently, I've been experiencing an issue with YouTube on Firefox. I have restarted all my network equipment and removed any extensions from Firefox, but the problem continues. Any help would be appreciated. Please see attached photo.

A few months ago after an update to Firefox the window would open but be transparent with no controls visible. I tried the refresh Firefox option which worked but left other problems. A website has a medium blue header at the top with white fonts (links) on it, which still appear that way in Chrome and Opera, but since the refresh the header is black with black fonts in Firefox (which of course you can't see). There are also variations of this problem on some other other websites. The only way I can see links on those sites is to set color management to override 'always'. Is there any way to fix this problem? Thanks Mike

Google Slides is very slow on Firefox compared to Chrome. It lags all the time in Firefox compared to Chrome where it runs normally.

I also notice it is using a lot more memory on Firefox compared to Chrome.

What?: Using screensharing option in Google meets stuns computer. Where?: Version 132.0.2 (64-bit) macOS 15.1 Steps to reproduce: 1. Open Google meet meeting. 2. Click share screen. 3. Select "Use operating system settings". - this is the only option available 4. Click Allow. Current behaviour: The screensharing feature stuns the computer, showing the loading mouse cursor for ever. I can't select the screen I want to share. The computer is unusable even after quiting Firefox. the computer should be restarted. Desired behaviour: The screensharing works normally.

When I click any link in an email (gmail) firefox refuses to take me to the site. Instead I get error messages like error 404 or most recently, the attached which was from a link in an email from my doctor. I opened the same link using brave no problem. I have uninstalled and reinstalled firefox a few times. I have deleted all plug ins. I can open every single one of those links and any other links in brave or any other browser. Not firefox. This is frustrating. Any help would be appreciated.

Recently, my bookmarks have disappeared (but leaving empty folders), reappeared, or reappeared but incompletely. (incompletely meaning not all showed up - alphabetically, only bookmarks beginning through letter "D." When I search bookmarks, the "missing ones" show-up in the results; they are just not visible in the toolbar. Similarly, if I try to add a new bookmark, it does not show. Help! thanks

Reinstalled Win 10 pro on my i7 4th gen 16gb RAM 250 SSD copied firefox profile folder which brings back all my windows tabs bookmarks etc

I now get tabs crashing constantly

Norton 360 is reinstalled: browser extensions, password manager, norton homepage, norton safeweb, norton safesearch are all not installed Browser and browser data protection is on, VPN is off turned off auto protect and smartfirewall

use to use adblockplus and privacy badger these are now off

Ive refreshed startup and cleared startup cache

maybe when I copied the profile across it missed some files however I did zip the old profile folder and copied its a big file 690MB unzipped

Not sure about the category I selected for my question but here goes. Maybe the problem I'm having with Facebook is my browser. But, when I make or send a attachment to a Facebook message I'm replying to, while the photo of the attachment will show up the text within that attachment will not. How do I make the text ALSO appear within the attachment I'm sending. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Sometimes, when I copy and paste a Youtube link into Firefox or I open a Youtube video in a new tab, the video player won't load. Sometimes it's fixed when I reload the page, other times it can only be fixed if I open a new Youtube tab and paste the name of the youtube video in.

Notes: - Tested in privacy browser with only Ublock origin active (no other extensions), did not appear to have this problem (It's a bit difficult to test since it only comes up sometimes with opening Youtube in background tabs/copying and pasting a youtube video)

    - Something I noticed: video player appears to load a lot faster in privacy browser.
    - However, turned off all extensions and themes in non-privacy browser and still had the issue
    - Youtube pages load in the background of privacy browser, but in the normal browser I have to click on them to load

- Turned off hardware acceleration, didn't change anything - Tried troubleshoot mode, doesn't look like the issue is still there? But confused on why the issue still happens when I turn all extensions off not in troubleshoot mode

Wondering if it's an about:config issue? I don't think I changed anything in there, though.

I'm running Windows 10 and Firefox with latest updates. With Firefox closed, when I right click on Firefox icon and select Open New Window a previous session window with whatever tabs were open is opened. This happens even if in the previous session I opened a new window, then closed all other windows, and then closed the single tab new window. This seems to have begun happening about 2 or 3 updates ago.

when doing image search (not by words ) in Yandex or Google the CPU clock is at full throttle (4.51ghz) And the pc starts to heat and slow down. on any other usage the pc is great . 8cores 16threads NVME 3X4 32gb ram gtx 3060 There is no issue on : ungoogled chromium_129.0.6668.100-1.1_windows_x64

I'm brand new to Firefox (1 week!) and i was doing some copy and pasting in an email (using gmail) and i noticed that every time i tried to paste it would add a space into it. I was copying about 15-20 email addresses so it really slowed me down as i would have to go back and delete the space after the @ symbol every time! Is this a known issue and if so is there a fix? If not is there a way to do a bug report?

My LA TIMES pages won't scroll, they freeze. The Times says it's Firefox and they are correct. When I switch browsers the problem goes away. I've used Troubleshoot and erased the cache and a lot of searching to no avail.

Any insight would be most appreciated.

Firefox automatically adding the https to our internat Intranet and I cannot access it. Auto adding the https is off. This site is only available within our firewall. I have had access forever until recent updates have made it impossible to access it.

I type in the URL: ourintranet/ and that has always gone to the site. Now, it is changing it to https://ourintranet/ when I hit enter...never done this before. I have this setting: Don’t enable HTTPS-Only Mode enabled.

Are there settings in Firefox that can solve the problem? Or is more information needed from me? I have been using Firefox for many years, and am reluctant to switch to another browser.
