I've recently had problems with a Searchqu malware downloaded with a utility I got from "http://download.cnet.com" -- BEWARE. I've now sorted that thanks to Firefox HELP gurus, and have restored Google.com/ig as my home page. However, before I stupidly downloaded the dodgy utility, I could put a search expression e.g. "netgear uk" into the URL text field in Firefox and it would automagically redirect me to the website i.e. "www.dlink.co.uk" normally in a new browser tab. Now, doing the same just returns a normal Google search response in the same tab. Not a big problem, but the previous set-up was better. Anyone know what I need to do to restore the previous set-up? thanks Firefox 7.01 Windows XP

You can modify the pref keyword.URL on the about:config page to use Google's "I'm Feeling Lucky" or Google's "Browse By Name".

Thanks very much cor-el. I was fiddling about in the right area but couldn't find the right string to put into the KEYWORD.URL.

Now works a treat.
