How can I merge the inbox of several different email accounts into one "global account" so that I need to check only one single account but not each of them separately?

My husband's emails are arriving at his correspondent as though they have come from my email address. This means that his correspondents keep replying to me and not to him. So far I have not been able to see anything wrong with our settings. Any ideas as how to correct this, please?

I am trying to transfer the address book form an old to new macbook. I installed new tbird. Old mac has 115.18, new 128.6.0. I copied the .mab.bak, and also renamed as .mab to the /profiles/xxx.default folder and also tried to the /profiles folder. Also tried copying sqlite. The new tbird created a xxx.default.sqr folder at some point. I get onef of the old addresses only. I have wasted 3 hours. I am willing to un-install and start over. I am somewhat familiar with unix and using a Terminal

Leider weigert sich Thunderbird meine Passwortpräferenzen zu speichern.

Ich muss nun bei jedem Start mein Passwort eingeben. Ich habe bei jeder Eingabe auch das Kästchen angeklickt, dass Thunderbird doch bitte mein Passwort mit dem integrierten Passwortmanager speichern soll. Nachdem ich es eingegeben habe und erfolgreich eingeloggt bin, sehe ich, dass Thunderbird es aber nicht abspeichert, denn unter "Datenschutz und Sicherheit" -> "Passwörter" wird kein gespeichertes Passwort angezeigt.

Ich verwende die aktuellste Version (habe ich bei "Über Thunderbird" kontrolliert). Ich verwende kein CCleaner. Mein OS ist Windows 10. Mein Posteingang funktioniert normal und ich kann meine E-Mails sehen und neue versenden.

Wie kann ich das Problem bitte beheben?

I accidentally erased the icon at the bottom of my computer and now cannot access my e-mail through Thunderbird. Where do I look for my Thunderbird account? How do I get it back ?

As of this morning, I can only view emails which were received or sent today. Anything sent or received before today is not displayed. I am still able to access emails received prior to today by using the Search function. This only applies on my desktop. On my laptop, emails are displayed normally.

Something has changed in the way Thunderbird is handling Replies. Replies used to be added to the original email with an arrow indicating that the email had been responded to. Now the reply is added to the mail list as a separate email grossly clogging up the list of emails. Sometimes the "replay arrow" is displayed and sometimes not. I do not want the reply shown as a separate email. Is there some setting that will accomplish this? I have been unable to find anything that looks like it would work.

PS The Bold and Italic for this email did not work.

Je ne puis plus éliminer les messages dans la corbeille malgré avoir suivi les instructions pour le faire. Je ne sais pas non plus désinstaller Thunderbird ! Je voulais faire une réinstallation mais cela semble impossible et vraiment je ne comprends pas pourquoi  ? J'ai fait un transfert sur un autre pc en suivant les données sur ce sujet et cela fonctionne. Pourrais-je faire la même chose en sens inverse ? Merci pour votre réponse

I have been having much trouble with Thunderbird. The latest problem is with the Sent folder. When I try to Compact Folders I get the message "The folder 'Sent on Local' could not be compacted because writing to folder failed. Verify that you have enough disk space, and that you have write privileges to the file system, then try again."

I have plenty of disk space and have Full Control. I tried creating a temporary folder and moving all the Sent messages to it, so that Sent had zero messages. I still got the same message. The file listing showed Sent to have a size of 182 MB even though it didn't contain any messages. I've tried deleting sent.msf to force Thunderbird to recreate the index - didn't work. I tried using Repair Folder. That worked, but when I tried Compacting Folders again it found another folder with the same problem. I fixed that one and then it said the Sent folder was bad once again. I'm going around in circles!

I've deleted and recreated scores of .msf files for various reasons, trying to get Thunderbird to work without errors, but as soon as I get one problem fixed, another one crops up. I'd conclude that it's my computer, except that I'm not having any problems with other programs.

Any thoughts on this particular problem or Thunderbird problems in general? Thanks.

I am using Thunderbird 128.4.3esr (64-bit). My understanding is that I can export current desktop accounts to Thunderbird for Android, including Hotmail. However, when I select Export for Mobile in settings, 2 of my 3 accounts appear, but Hotmail is missing.

Why doesn't such a simple function in the program work? It's always like this, not for some time. Sometimes it finds some emails, sometimes it doesn't. It doesn't matter if I enter an email address or part of a word from the email.

Somehow, I have a second copy of one of my email accounts. They are mirrored, so what happens to one, happens to the other which makes deleting one not acceptable.

Any way to get to the mirrored account?

Dear Sir We had recently installed fire fox, trying to import outlook data for same POP account with same password, but firefox showing importing data folders also created, but no progress seems. can you suggest some solutions.

I tried searching for an answer to this with terms like "offline storage" or "moving archived folders" and I found some topics that were close, but did not really answer the question or did not have the detail I needed.

For one of my TB email accounts I have a lot of subfolders for each year, going back for many years. For example, I have a "archive 2017" folder, and so on. Is there a way I can remove these archived folders to my local hard drive so they are not taking space on my server, but that I can still access them easily if needed?

I don't know if it matters, but I use IMAP settings/server.

If there is a solution, please provide as many steps and details as possible.

I'm running Sequoia 15.1.1 on an M1 Mac Mini. Never had problems before. TB 128.6 0 esr.

As soon as it opens it crashes.

I have a lot of unopened files in a pop mailbox, going to try and remove them.

It seems to still work on my iPhone. Any ideas?

I M get this working. I'm in a panic. Please help.

I just installed Thunderbird, linked it to my primary email account (ok!) and then tried to import one year's worth of email messages exported from my Apple Mail client as .mbox folders with an underlying folder structure (1 per month). Thunderbird went away for about 2 hours "downloading" and importing ( ... looking good!), but at the end my "Local Folder: Apple Mail Import" still shows no messages. Where are they and how can I access them in the Thunderbolt client?
